Marketing Coordinator
I. Marketing Coordinator Job Description • Create, implement and oversee all marketing and advertising programs for MESP and its properties • Work with designers, graphic artists, printers, media outlets and clients to coordinate event advertising campaigns • Plan, develop, oversee and execute all distribution of marketing materials • Design, develop and execute all Social Media Advertising Programs • Coordinate on site marketing projects at events • Oversee all athlete relationships • Provide athlete communications and follow up • Provide direction and consultation to sponsors for leveraging sponsorship • Create platforms for new sponsors • Building relationships with existing and potential sponsors/clients • Provide sales support for MESP properties and clients • Event Duties as needed

III. Requirements Bachelor’s degree and minimum 2 yrs. experience in business, marketing or related field with a proven track record of success. PC computer skills including Microsoft Office. Proven ability to supervise, effective writing, and communication skills. Availability to work weekends and travel. Administrative, phone and communication, strong supervisory and leadership, strong organization, decision-making and problem-solving, resourcefulness. Administrator of Athlete Services
As Administrator of Athlete Services, you will play a fundamental role in ensuring over 50,000 athletes receive the highest quality event experience that MESP has built a reputation on delivering.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Oversee athlete relations for all MESP produced events including: registration data and fee processing, athlete emails and telephone calls, athlete interface at event venues 2. Assist Marketing Coordinator in pre-event marketing, advertising, sponsor relations 3. Actively outreach to potential new sponsors and drive sponsorship sales process 4. Facilitate general administrative tasks including: data entry, filing, petty cash requisition, office supply orders, etc. 5. Ability to work weekends and travel to all MESP produced events
Education and Experience Requirements: Strong organizational, customer service, and administrative skills. Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in administration or recreation, or equivalent experience. At least one year of event related experience. Microsoft Office computer skills including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Office. Proven effective writing, communication, and cash balancing skills. Internship - Part Time
Job Description: Duties include but are not limited to - assisting with athlete relations, assisting with marketing and race coordination duties, and special projects involved with developing events.
Skills Required: Must be very well organized, outgoing, creative, responsible, and possess strong communication skills. Students with majors in business, communications, public relations, and advertising are preferred. Interest in the sports business and event marketing is a plus, but not required. IBM PC knowledge.
Start Date and Hours: The position is available on an on-going basis and can be filled immediately. The internship is for 3 months and requires approximately 20 hours per week.
